Living with Heart: Lead With Your Heart But Take Your Mind With You

“Live your life from your heart. Share from your heart. And your story will touch and heal people’s souls.” – Melody Beattie

Sometimes we don’t give ourselves enough credit. We’ve come so far and forget where we came from. We constantly strive for new achievements and wins without celebrating the ones we just won. Before we close a chapter we look forward to the new one, always living in the future.

Never be afraid to open up your heart. Your story, your wounds can reach out to touch others. Each time may shine a new perspective allowing you to appreciate it more. It’s so important to live and lead with your heart because that’s the true way of happiness. Living from your heart makes you appreciate each moment as it happens and not postpone happiness to some distant goal to be reached.

Nevertheless, take your mind with you. Set challenging goals. Break through obstacles but detach yourself from the outcome and enjoy every step of the journey.

Here are three ways to open your heart:

  1. To open your heart, be of service to others. Help out a family member or a friend in need. Don’t underestimate the power of a small, genuine act. A single smile or a compliment can change a person’s day.
  2. Every day (as soon as you wake up), think about 3-5 things you are grateful for, things we take for granted that other people wish they had. There is always something to be thankful for. A thankful heart is a happy heart.
  3. Turn judgement into compassion. As soon as you feel a judgmental thought, pause, and turn judgment into compassion and understanding. Try to understand where that thought is coming from and try to understand it. Don’t judge or put yourself down, ever. Try not to judge others either. And turn judgments into compassion whenever you can.

Superb blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m
a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid
option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused
    .. Any tips? Appreciate it!
