Healing the Creatrix: Using Your Creativity to Cut through Illusions of the Mind
Numerous obstacles can come between us and our creations. I won’t name them all. They can be our own limited beliefs like: our creations won’t be good enough, we don’t have enough talent, we can’t compete with other creatives who have more experience or talent, or we can’t beat the social media algorithm so what’s the point of creation?!
Once we get into our heads with thoughts, they become like heavy weights that hold us down and prevent us from creating. This results in procrastination, distraction, and it can literally change our moods without us being conscious of it.
But if we can witness these “weights” that hold us down and speak positively to ourselves: our creations do matter, we have enough talent, we have the passion and the drive to create something that no one else has in the way we will – it’s a step in a positive direction toward our creative journeys.
And when it comes to the social media algorithm, seeing numbers of our likes, comments, shares and overall engagement or lack of it, does have an impact on us even if we don’t realize it. So it’s important to practice detachment. Detach from the algorithm and realize YOU are your OWN ALGORITHM. You create your reality, not the algorithm.
Purpose of creation is to connect with other souls. It’s to inspire others and to inspire yourself to keep going, to keep growing and to keep creating. When we’re not creating for a long period of time – if we’re suppressing this desire, this gift of creation, it can feel as if something within us is dying. Don’t lose hope. Keep going. Don’t let your creations die inside your mind. Bring them to life. Bring them into the now. Even if you create it and never share it with anyone. Just create.
We create not by tuning into the past but by feeling into the future and tuning into that frequency. We borrow from the future. Our creations are from the future because they do not exist in the now. They invite us to create. Yet our creations require one thing from us: our presence. To be present, fully immersed with our creativity, our curiosity and free from judgement is when we are in the flow of creation.
So if you start with a blank page. Imagine beginning with no mind, no stories of the past, no identity, no thing at all – what would you create? What would Source create through you? What would your consciousness want to create? Start there.
To overcome obstacles, journal about your feelings about creativity and the state of today’s social media – what’s missing? What’s lacking? What do you want to bring to the table? Trust me. There is someone out there that needs to see or hear what you create. Countless times when I least expected it, a stranger on the internet would tell me: “What you do matters” or “I love everything you create” or “You’re so inspiring.” It’s not about the reach or number of followers. It’s about the ONE. The one person you inspire and reach. You create a positive ripple in their life, inspiring them to create a new timeline for themselves.
I don’t have to tell you how knowing yourself is so important when it comes to your creativity. If you’re reading this, you probably are learning about who you are what you like – whether that’s through psychology, yoga & meditation, astrology, human design, or your own experiences. Our birth charts are permission slips that tell us it’s OK to be who we are. Some of us need to hear them and some don’t. Unfortunately, due to wounding of our pasts, most of us would benefit from receiving these permission slips.
So how do we heal the creatrix? By using our own creativity of course. Our own creativity heals the creatrix. Many times people think that creatives create for the end results but that’s not it. It’s the process of creation that we are emersed with. It’s the flow of energy we are in love with when we are one with the words we are writing or a vision we are building or a meditation we are creating.
For creative souls it’s essential to have a spiritual practice like a morning meditation. It’s essential to schedule time to do the things we love – otherwise the days get away from us with various obligations. And before you know it, we get into a rut.
Yoga and meditation helps clear out the clutter from the mind so you can get out of negative loops faster and create from a place of clarity and peace. For me it’s 20 minutes of Kundalini Yoga in the morning that helps me get centered as well as ground my heavy air energy. I have lots of Libra placements in my astrology chart. So balance is important to me. Visit @The.SpiritualSense on YouTube for many free Kundalini Yoga sessions.
If you’d like to book a 1:1 human design reading or kundalini yoga session with me you can do so via social media platforms or my website at www.TheSpiritualSense.com.
